Your First MIOME Video

Unlike a big library of concepts, this video is built around one focused topic: constipation and probiotics. The aim is a calm, credible mini-consult, the way you would explain something to a patient you respect, not an influencer-style hard sell.

We picked you for your voice and your genuine style, so please film it as yourself. Send us your hook and a short script first, and we will shape the wording together from there.

Wherever you talk about results, the video builds naturally into the two results in the green study card — weekly bowel movements and normal stool consistency — said in your own words, with the study screenshots on screen.

The strain behind those results is Bacillus coagulans Unique IS-2, the exact strain IB-ONE is formulated with, at the exact dose used in the 2020 clinical study. You can read more of the science on our education page.

The primary audience is women aged 40 to 80 living with constipation, though there can be exceptions. MIOME ships internationally.

Quick start · an example shape, not a script

Quick-Start Guide

The fastest way to see what this is all about: how a typical video breaks down, beat by beat. Plenty of great videos skip beats, reorder them, or do their own thing, so use this however it is helpful. The image suggestions in the right column point at the visual assets gallery further down.

The opening
Your chosen hook, ideally said to one specific person you have in mind (see the personas). The strongest openings name the frustration that person is feeling in the first few seconds, and try to land constipation and probiotic in the first line or two. (See the hook menu further down for ready-to-use options.)
-
Credential
A single line like 'as a dietitian who works with a lot of constipated patients' or 'as a board-certified gastroenterologist who sees this every day'. Drop it in naturally; many top videos place the credential a few seconds in rather than as the very first line.
-
Who this is for
Name the person this is for: the woman who tried fiber and it did not help, the woman whose gut changed after 50, the woman tired of probiotics that did nothing. This is where your persona lives.
-
The strain
Name Bacillus coagulans Unique IS-2, usually paired with a short reason most probiotics are not built for constipation.
Frequency stat
~1 to ~6 bowel movements per week after 4 weeks of daily use. Attributed to the strain, with the chart on camera.
Consistency stat
0% to 98% normal stool consistency over the same 4 weeks.
The product (optional)
Holding the IB-ONE box on camera, the 2 billion CFU dose, one capsule daily. Some of our strongest videos do well without ever showing the product, just talking about the strain.
-
8 week satisfaction program (optional)
Often lands well as the closing reassurance. The 2020 clinical study ran for 4 weeks; MIOME's satisfaction program gives you twice that window. Responders and non-responders exist with any probiotic, so this is the practical answer. Full refund, no questions asked.
-
CTA
If posting as a Reel: 'Comment MIOME for 20% off' or your discount code. If we are running it as an ad, we handle the CTA.
-

What you will deliver, at a glance

Your video on the topic below, plus a few clean files. Most of this is the same whether you post a Reel yourself or we run it as an ad — that distinction is explained at the top of the process section just below, and the labels show what applies to which.

  • 1 video on the topic in the brief below
  • 2 additional hook clips, filmed clean with no overlays
  • A clean version of your video with no text overlays, screenshots, or cover
  • Partnership ad authorization, which lets us run the video as an ad
  • Your caption, tagging @miome.health Reel only
  • (Optional) Affiliate code and ManyChat auto-replies for your 20% commission
The partnership process

How Your First Video Works, Step By Step

First, one important distinction

Option A · you post it

An Instagram Reel

You post the video as a Reel on your own page. You write the caption (tagging @miome.health), you can set up ManyChat, and you provide a Reel cover.

Option B · we post it

An Instagram partnership ad

You hand us the footage and we run it as a partnership ad from our own accounts — it still runs in partnership with you and credits you. We write the caption and handle the call-to-action. You still send the same clean files.

Which one applies to you depends on your agreement. The filming and the files are almost identical either way; the real difference is who posts and who writes the caption. Where a step only applies to one of them, it is labelled below.

Optional

The 20% affiliate commission is optional

Any creator can opt into a 20% commission on sales from their own organic post/content, plus a 20% discount code for their audience. If you would like it and do not have a code yet, register on our affiliate platform here: af.uppromote.com/miome/register. If you have chosen not to take part, just skip the ManyChat step near the end.

Stage 1 · Before filming

  1. 01

Pick your hook and write your script

Start with the hook menu, then work through the rest of the script: the two results, the segue into IB-ONE, and the ending, keeping the claims & language rules in mind. It also helps to have a specific person in mind, so glance at the personas first.

  2. 02

Send us your hook and a short script

Send a short written draft script along with your chosen opening hook, plus the 2 alternate hooks you will film clean (see step 05). A shared Google Doc is ideal so we can leave comments and tweak wording inline together. Write in your own voice, we will shape it from there if anything needs adjusting.

  3. 03

We review and approve, and our ad manager sends you a partnership ad authorization

We review your script for accuracy, claim wording, compliance, and ad strength. You will typically hear back within 48 hours. Up to 2 revision rounds are available, usually just 1.

Our ad manager will also send you a partnership ad authorization request. Approving it is what allows us to run the video as an ad, and we ask everyone to approve it. If we are running it as an ad from our own accounts, it does not appear on your own feed. If you are posting it as a Reel, it runs alongside your post.

What approving it looks like on your phone (under a minute):

    • Usually it is one tap. Instagram sends you a notification, and often a DM from us, saying something like "Request to run partnership ads". Tap it, tap MIOME, then tap Approve.
    • If no notification arrives, approve it manually: in the Instagram app, go to your profile → menu (☰) → Settings and privacyBusiness tools and controls (or Creator tools and controls) → Partnership adsAd partnersPending requests, then approve MIOME.
    • Good to know: this needs a professional (Creator or Business) Instagram account, an out-of-date app can hide the request, and you can view or revoke ad partners any time from that same screen. Full details: help.instagram.com (partnership ads).

Need product on hand? If you would like IB-ONE or IB-PRO boxes sent out, just email us at partnerships@miome.health.

Stage 2 · Filming

  1. 04

    Film your video

Film yourself speaking directly to camera, in a natural and conversational tone, with your eye line right on the lens. The most common note we give on first videos is that it looks like the person is reading, so film in smaller takes rather than reading off a screen. Use on-screen text that matches what you are saying (written as numerals: 1 to 6, 4 weeks, 98%), drop in the study screenshots when you say the stats, and show the IB-ONE packaging if it fits naturally. Keep momentum all the way through, no dead air or filler. The full filming guidance is in the filming section.

  2. 05

Film 2 additional hook variants standard for every first video

As well as the hook in your main video, record 2 more opening hooks, each as its own clean 5 to 10 second clip, with no text overlays, no title card, and no image overlays. Where you can, film each in a slightly different setting for variety. These let us test different openings against the same body of your video, which is one of the biggest levers on performance.

  3. 06

Create your Reel cover (optional, mainly for Reels)

If you are posting a Reel, an attention-grabbing cover for your profile grid helps. A bold text overlay of the video title over a clear image of yourself works best. This is optional and mostly matters when you are posting on your own page.

Stage 3 · After filming

  1. 07

Send the draft edit, and your caption if you are posting a Reel

    Send us:

    • The edited video, with everything already cut in: your on-screen text overlays (subtitle-style text), the study screenshots, and (for a Reel) your cover.
    • Your draft caption — the text that sits underneath your post. Reel only: for ads, skip this, we write the caption ourselves. Note: the example caption insert further down is only a short block for the middle of your caption, not the whole caption.
  2. 08

    Make revisions if needed

Once you send the draft edit, we will get back to you with feedback if anything needs adjusting. The spoken script and hooks were already approved at step 03, so revisions here are usually small things that emerge in the edit: on-screen text wording, a screenshot that needs swapping, which hook clip reads best once cut together, or CTA placement and pacing.

Stage 4 · Wrap up · the files we need

  1. 09

    Send your final assets

Within 48 hours of approval (or of posting, if you are posting too), share a folder with 3 files:

    • Final edited video, the same one we approved, with on-screen text overlays, study screenshots, and (for a Reel) your cover cut in.
    • Clean version, the same video with everything removed. Just you on camera with the original audio: no on-screen text, no study screenshots, no Reel cover. We use this clean version to produce ad variations on our end.
    • 2x hook clips, clean, with no overlays or title cards.

This applies to everyone. Whether you post the Reel yourself or simply hand over the footage for us to run as an ad through our own account, we always need the clean files with nothing on them. That clean material is what lets us adapt the video across platforms and test variations.

Stage 5 · If your agreement has you posting on your own account

Most MIOME content goes live from MIOME's own ad accounts. This stage only applies if your agreement also has you posting the Reel on your own wall.

  1. 10

    Post the Reel

Post only after final approval. Tag @miome.health and use the approved caption. To help the algorithm, try not to post another Reel on the same day as your MIOME content.

  2. 11

Approve the partnership ad authorization, if you haven't already

If you have not already approved the partnership ad authorization we sent at step 03, please do it within 24 hours of posting so we can run the content as an ad. The tap-by-tap walkthrough is in step 03: approve from the notification or DM, or manually via Settings and privacy → Business (or Creator) tools and controls → Partnership ads → Ad partners → Pending requests.

  3. 12

    Set up ManyChat (optional)

If you have opted into the affiliate commission: when a viewer comments a trigger word like "MIOME" or "constipation" on your post, ManyChat sends them an automatic DM with your discount code and affiliate link. Instead of telling viewers to "click the link in my bio," every interested commenter gets the exact link that earns your commission. (ManyChat only works on a Reel you post yourself, not on ads we run.) Setup walkthrough: help.manychat.com / Instagram setup.

  4. 13

Use approved FAQ replies in comments

If followers ask the usual questions on your post, paste from the Influencer FAQ near the bottom of this page. For anything else, MIOME's full help center has the most common questions: miome.gorgias.help/en-US.

Your Script

Everything in this band is script work: pick your hook, build the body, then check the language. This is what you send us at step 02.

Step 1 · the hook

Start With Your Hook

The opening earns everything after it. Instagram keeps showing videos that hold attention at the 2 and 6 second marks, so your first line has to make the next one feel necessary — this is where most of the creativity goes. Ideally work the words "probiotic" and "constipation" into the hook (not mandatory), and it helps to picture one specific person as you say it (see the personas).

70%
still watching at 2 seconds
60%
still watching at 6 seconds

The menu below is just ideas. Choose whichever one fits, reword it in your own voice, or write your own in the same spirit. Swap [credential] for yours (for example, registered dietitian or gastroenterologist), and tap Copy on any hook.

1 Stats Based

Lead with the clinical study numbers. Strong when you put a study screenshot on screen as you say them.

  • “This graph changed how I approach constipation in my practice.”
  • “98% of participants achieved normal stool consistency after 4 weeks with this probiotic strain. Here’s what you need to know.”
  • “One probiotic strain took constipated people from 1 to 6 bowel movements per week in just 4 weeks. Let me explain.”
  • “This is what happened when 100 people with constipation took ONE specific probiotic strain.”
  • “In a 2020 clinical study, people with constipation went from about 1 to nearly 6 bowel movements a week. Here’s the strain.”
  • “0% to 98% normal stool consistency in 4 weeks. That’s what one clinically studied probiotic strain did for constipation.”

2 Alternative / Pattern Interrupt

Challenge what the viewer is already doing. Works because most people have tried a probiotic that did nothing.

  • “You’re taking the wrong probiotic for constipation.”
  • “Stop wasting money on probiotics that don’t work for constipation. Let me show you what’s different.”
  • “Why do most probiotics fail for constipation?”
  • “A big CFU number on the label doesn’t mean it does anything for constipation. The strain and the dose do.”

3 Authority Reversal

You usually advise caution on probiotics, but this strain is the exception. Credible and pattern-breaking.

  • “After X years as a [credential], I finally found a probiotic strain that works for constipation.”
  • “As a [credential], I rarely recommend probiotics for constipation... but this one changed my mind.”
  • “In my clinic with thousands of constipated clients, I’ve always told people to be wary of probiotics. Here’s the one exception.”
  • “I’m a [credential]. For years I told my constipated clients to skip probiotics. One clinically studied strain changed my answer.”
  • “I’m a [credential]. Here’s the constipation advice I give the women in my own family, and the one probiotic strain behind it.”

4 Problem / Solution

Name the frustration the viewer is living with, then point to the missing piece. A natural fit for a specific persona.

  • “If you’ve tried fiber, water, and magnesium but you’re still constipated, one specific probiotic strain might be what’s missing.”
  • “Still can’t poop despite trying probiotics? Here’s why the wrong strain is keeping you stuck.”
  • “Fiber, water, magnesium, and still constipated? The missing piece might be the specific probiotic strain, not more of the same.”
Step 2 · after the hook

The Results, The Segue, And The Ending

Once your hook is set, the rest of the script is the same for everyone: say the two study results clearly, crediting the strain, bridge into IB-ONE in a line or two, then close. That is the 80/20 of the whole video.

1The Two Study Results

This is the heart of the video, and everyone covers it. The art is how you get from your hook into these two numbers. When you say them, credit the strain, Bacillus coagulans Unique IS-2, not MIOME, and put the matching study screenshots on screen as you do (there is one for each result).

Bowel-movement result — tap to copy, or say it in your own words:

  • In a clinical study on this strain, people with constipation went from about 1 to nearly 6 bowel movements a week in 4 weeks.
  • On this clinically studied strain, adults with constipation went from around 1 to 6 bowel movements a week after 4 weeks.
  • That is a jump from about 1 to nearly 6 bowel movements per week, in just 4 weeks.

Stool-consistency result — tap to copy, or say it in your own words:

  • In addition, 98% of participants reached normal stool consistency.
  • In addition, participants went from 0% to 98% normal stool consistency.
  • In addition, nearly all participants, 98%, had normal stool consistency.

2Segue Into IB-ONE

Make your points about the strain first, then bring in the product in a line or two. The studies are about the strain; IB-ONE is simply the product that contains it at the clinically studied dose. A few ways to make that bridge — tap to copy, or say it your own way:

  • That strain is Bacillus coagulans Unique IS-2, and IB-ONE is the daily probiotic built around it, at the same dose used in the study.
  • IB-ONE contains that exact strain at the clinically studied dose, one capsule a day.
  • The product I use for this is IB-ONE. It is just that strain, at the dose from the study, with nothing else added.

3The Ending

  • If you are posting a Reel, close with a clear call-to-action, for example: "Comment MIOME or constipation and I will send you a 20% off code." ManyChat can send it automatically (step 12), and your caption should open with a strong first line and tag @miome.health.
  • If we are running it as an ad, simply finish on your last point. You do not need a hard call-to-action; we add the CTA and write the caption.

+Optional Extras

None of these are required, and you do not need them all. They are here in case they suit your delivery, and only where they fit.

  • Why the strain and dose matter: this specific strain at the clinically studied dose has been hard to find, and most probiotics underdose or pad the label. IB-ONE uses the exact strain at the exact dose from the study, with no other active ingredients.
  • Other study screenshots: the 2020 study also has charts for reduced abdominal discomfort, Bristol stool consistency, and reduced incomplete emptying. Drop any of these in if they fit what you are saying. They are in the visual assets.
  • Individual results vary, as with any clinical research.
  • Secondary points: can be taken with or without food; third-party tested; shelf-stable, no refrigeration.
  • Small brand rules: write MIOME in ALL CAPS, and use numerals (4 weeks, 98%) in captions and on-screen text.
  • For the exact wording to lean on and the words to avoid, see the claim guardrails below.
Optional · who you're speaking to

Personas

A small thing that makes a big difference: it is much easier to write and film when you picture one real person rather than "an audience." Here are a few people who fit our primary audience. Pick the one who feels closest to your own patients, keep her in mind as you talk, and your hook and delivery will land more naturally. Whichever you choose, the video still leads into the same two study results.

The woman who has tried everything

Fiber, water, magnesium, maybe a laxative, and she is still constipated. She does not want another lecture, she wants to feel understood. Speak to her calmly and show her the missing piece might be a specific strain, not more of the same.

The let-down probiotic shopper

She has bought a probiotic before and it did nothing, so she is skeptical another one will help. Meet that doubt head-on: most probiotics were never built for constipation, and what matters is the specific strain and dose.

The numbers person

She trusts evidence over vibes and wants to see the data. Let the study carry it: put the chart on screen and walk her through what happened in 4 weeks.

The one who trusts a cautious clinician

She believes you precisely because you are usually careful. Lean on that: you normally tell people to be wary of probiotics for constipation, and this is the one clinically studied exception.

The careful label-reader

She reads the ingredient panel before she buys. Teach her what to look for: the named strain, the studied dose, and nothing padding the label, then show that IB-ONE is built to match the study.

Final check · claims & language

The Language That Keeps Your Video On-Spec

A note on naming, please read this one carefully. When you talk about the clinical studies and the results, always credit the strain, Bacillus coagulans Unique IS-2, not IB-ONE. The studies were done on the strain. IB-ONE is simply the product that contains that strain at the clinically studied dose, which you bring in separately (see the segue in the content brief above). Keep it about constipation specifically, nothing broader.

Build in these results

Wherever you talk about what the strain does, attribute both stats to the strain and the 2020 clinical study, not to IB-ONE the product, with the matching study screenshot on screen at that moment. Both screenshots are in the visual assets section below.

  • The strain. Bacillus coagulans Unique IS-2.
  • Frequency. In the 2020 clinical study on this strain, adults with constipation went from around 1 to nearly 6 bowel movements per week after 4 weeks of daily use.
  • Consistency. In the same 2020 clinical study, 0% to 98% of participants achieved normal stool consistency after 4 weeks.

Strengthen the case where it fits

Reach for these when they fit naturally. None are required.

  • Studied dose. 2 billion CFU per capsule, one capsule a day, the same dose used in the clinical study.
  • 8 week satisfaction program. The 2020 clinical study ran for 4 weeks; MIOME's satisfaction program gives you twice that window, so there is a real runway to see whether it is working. As with any probiotic there are responders and non-responders, and this program is the practical answer to that: full refund, no questions asked.
  • AEProbio 2025 Clinical Guide. The Clinical Guide to Probiotic Products Available in USA, published by the Alliance for Education on Probiotics, is a clinician-facing reference used by US healthcare providers. IB-ONE is listed in the 2025 edition (page 2) with a specific indication for constipation. Useful when you want third-party credibility beyond the strain's own study data.

Phrases that stay on-spec

Lean on these where they fit naturally. They are the wordings that hold up best to compliance review.

  • "Clinically studied" (never just "studied")
  • "Clinical studies" (never "clinical trials")
  • "Clinically studied in adults with constipation"
  • "Supports normal bowel movements"
  • "Supports stool consistency"
  • "The strain matters"
  • "Think in weeks, not days"
  • "Discomfort" (never "painful")

Words and phrases to steer away from

These either create regulatory headaches or break trust with the audience. Easy to swap out once you know they are on the list.

  • Treats / cures / prevents / fixes constipation
  • Guaranteed results / works for everyone
  • "Functional constipation" (just say "constipation")
  • Any specific medical condition: IBS, SIBO, colitis, chronic constipation
  • "Symptoms" / "managing symptoms" / "symptom relief" (it edges toward disease claims, just talk about constipation directly)
  • "Pain" / "painful" (use "discomfort" instead)
  • Unsubstantiated claims like "detox", "miracle cure", "guaranteed results"
  • Anything that reads like an FDA disease claim (heals, miracle, detox, etc.)
  • Prefer not to use "motility"
Script approved · time to film

How To Film It

The look we are after is a natural, conversational mini-consult, not a polished ad. You were picked because you know how to film, so take these less as rules and more as the notes we find ourselves giving most often.

  • The single most common note we give: it looks like you are reading. A teleprompter is fine, but it has to sound like you talking. If you can see yourself reading in a take, so can the viewer, so redo it smaller and looser until it flows like conversation.
  • Keep your eye line right on the camera lens, not on notes or your own preview on the screen.
  • Film in smaller takes. Short takes are the easiest way to stay natural and lose the read-from-a-screen look.
  • Film yourself speaking directly to camera. Limit voiceover and text-only stretches.
  • Use on-screen text that matches the words you are saying, and always write numbers as numerals: "1 to 6 bowel movements", "4 weeks", "98%", never spelled out.
  • Drop in the study screenshots when you say the results out loud.
  • Keep momentum the whole way through. No dead air, no filler. Move straight from your last point into the ending.
  • Show the IB-ONE packaging if it fits naturally. It is optional; some of our strongest videos barely show the product.
+2

Then film 2 of these clean, as separate clips

On top of the hook in your main video, record 2 more opening hooks as their own clean clips: 5 to 10 seconds each, no text overlays, no title cards, ideally each in a slightly different setting. Pick two that are clearly different from your main one (a different style from the menu is perfect).

This is a standard part of every first video. It lets us test openings against the same body of your video, which is one of the biggest levers we have on performance.

For your caption

An Example Caption Insert

For Reels you post yourself (for ads, we write the caption). This is only a short block for the middle of your caption, not the whole thing. Write your own attention-grabbing first line and your own hashtags around it, and include the @miome.health tag. The block itself is optional, just a starting point if you would like one.

Example insert

The strain inside MIOME's IB-ONE has been clinically studied for constipation:
📊 Adults went from ~1 to ~6 bowel movements per week in 4 weeks
✨ 98% achieved normal stool consistency

MIOME's IB-ONE contains this exact strain at the clinically studied dose, and they stand behind it with an 8 week satisfaction program. If it doesn't work for you, full refund, no questions asked 💛

✅ Comment MIOME and I'll send you a 20% off code, or use code [YOUR CODE] at checkout

Suggested

  • Open with constipation in the first 1 to 2 lines
  • MIOME always written ALL CAPS
  • Attribute clinical claims to the strain, not the product
  • Numerals only (4 weeks, 98%)
  • US spelling (fiber, color, behavior)
  • Lean on the wordings from "Phrases that stay on-spec" above

Do not

  • Name conditions other than constipation (IBS, SIBO, colitis, chronic constipation)
  • Use #ibs / #ibsc / #sibo
  • Treats / cures / prevents / fixes constipation
  • Guaranteed results / works for everyone
  • "Pain" / "painful" (use "discomfort")
  • "Functional constipation" (just say "constipation")
  • Anything that reads like an FDA disease claim (heals, miracle, detox, etc.)
  • Prefer not to use "motility"

Influencer FAQ — Copy-Paste Replies

If you post on your own account and followers ask the usual questions in the comments or DMs, paste from here. The replies are written in your voice, stay inside the claim guardrails, and lean on the 8 week satisfaction program where it helps. Anything unusual or medical, forward it to MIOME instead of answering.

Everyone's gut is a bit different so timing varies, but many people start noticing benefits after around 2 weeks of daily use. From there it often gets better with consistency, and the best results usually come from taking it every day and giving your gut a few weeks to settle into a new rhythm.

MIOME stands behind it with an 8 week satisfaction program - the 2020 clinical study on the strain ran for 4 weeks, so the program gives you twice that window. You can try it properly, and if it does not work for you, full refund, no questions asked. More info at miome.health/satisfaction.
Probiotics can take time and they don't work the same for everyone. Many people notice changes around weeks 3 to 4, with benefits sometimes building through weeks 4 to 8. In the 2020 clinical study on the strain inside IB-ONE, adults went from around 1 to nearly 6 bowel movements per week after 4 weeks of daily use.

That said, MIOME does not want anyone stuck with something that is not working. Their 8 week satisfaction program means you can try it properly and request a full refund if it does not work for you. More info at miome.health/satisfaction.
Yes. MIOME's probiotic strains are shelf-stable and you can take them with or without food. I would focus on taking it consistently each day.
